BIW INSTALLATION STEPS
1. Dump the oracle from oracle cd.
2. Dump Biw1, Biw2, Biw3, GUI, Kernel, J2ee, Help from cd’s.
3. My computer → Properties → Advanced → Performance options → Change → D − 3000 (Initial size)
3000 (Maximum size) → Set
→ Ok.
4. Start → Setting → Control panel → Add/Remove hardware → Next → Next → Add a new device, Next →

→ Finish.
5. My network places → Properties → Local area connection →
Properties → Internet protocol (Tcp/Ip), Properties →
Use the following IP address 192.168.0.1 after this press tab
Then 255.255.255.0 appears. Ok → Ok.
6. Installation Oracle → NT → I386 → Setup → Next → Next →
Oracle 8i enterprise edition 8.1.7.00, Next →

Global database name: BWSERVER, Next →
Install → Ok → Exit.
7. Install Java(j2sdk) → Next → Next → Accept → C:/program
Files/j2sdk_nb, Next → This specified directory does not
exist create? Yes → Next → Next → Next →… Finish
8. My computer → Properties → Advanced → Environment
Variables → New → Variable Name: Java_home
Variable value: c:\program files\j2sdk_nb\j2sdk1.4.2, Ok →
Ok → Ok.
9. Install Kernel → NT → I386 → NTpatch → R3dllins →
Ok →. Kernel → SAPINST → NT → SETUP → I agree →
Next → Reboot now Ok → Ok → (System will restart).
10. Select SAP Business warehouse 3.0B for oracle, Next →
I agree → Install server components, Next →
SAP System ID: BIW
Central instance, Next → Next → Next →
No LDAP, Next →
Local installation, Next → Next →
Password: 123
Confirm: 123, Next →
